POSTDOCTORAL
RESEARCH ASSOCIATE
The Physics Department of Brookhaven National Laboratory currently has a research associate position available under the direction of I. Pogorelsky.
This position requires a Ph.D. in physics, electrical engineering or a related discipline with emphasis on laser technology, hands-on experience in the design and construction of laser systems, laser resonators, the use of diagnostics for characterization of ultrashort laser pulses, and electro-optic technique. Knowledge of a CO2 gas laser technology is desirable. Will participate in designing and component testing of a multi-stage picosecond CO2 laser system for high-energy physics and accelerator application.
